Brighton
So how did it all begin?

Natalie had no choice but to become a DJ as it took up most of her boyfriend’s, Steve‘Butch’Jones’s, life.  Instead of tirelessly listening to him mix records in the bedroom she decided that she would give him a run for his money.  It has taken her since 1999 to truly perfect her own unique but complementary sound to Steve’s and she has proven to satisfy many clubbers taste buds.  Funky Latino House with a retro twist, her sets are totally sassy and to watch her and Steve back-to-back is awesome and definitely interesting.

Moving from Liverpool to Brighton has given Natalie a chance to play in one of the coolest city’s in the UK on a regular basis with solo guest spots at clubs in Brighton and London.  Her versatile style can easily be seen as her sets can vary from latino grooves to deep dirty house.  Whatever the mood she creates, it is created with an edge of sophistication.

Natalie is also DJing with Steve under the name, Mr&MrsDJ (www.mrandmrsdj.co.uk). “Mr and Mrs DJ, well thats all down to Steve, if it was not for him I would never have become a DJ. It's the best, going out and rocking the crowd with your other half. Its really exciting playing back 2 back and a bit scary at the same time, as with anyone who has ever seen Steve play before will tell you, you never know what you are going to get next.  I think I give as good as I get.  Getting me to do most of the work has also given Steve more time to concentrate his on other projects like the GBdjs Artist Management (www.GBdjs.co.uk) agency he now runs and being involved with some up and coming record labels. But the whole concept of woman vs. man, to see who can win over the crowd has been great with the girls shouting for me and the men shouting for him, it gives the whole night that real buzz that a lot of clubs these days are missing.”
