Rob Casson

Profile: Rob was given first set of decks Christmas 2000, they were a set of dodgy drive decks with a clapped out 2 channel mixer, (soon to be replaced by some new 1210's and a Pioneer mixer).
 
At the time Rob was into Trance and Progressive House, the clubs he was attending most weeks heavily influenced him, the like of Cream, Sankey Soap, Renaissance and Golden were regulars. The club scene got Rob into buying music and he would spend most weekends in 3 Beat Records, HMV and the city's other cooler record shops, looking for old classics in the basements.
 
In 2002 Rob decided to hold his own night and held his first Freeze party at Bar Zero, and started to play a few one off gigs around Liverpool's city centre venues. In 2005 Rob and his friend and now co-promoter Simon Johnson decided, after many drunken nights of talking about starting their own night, finally got it together and Freeze in its current guise was born.  It began it October 2005 at Liverpool's famous Lemon Lounge. The first night started with friends playing and from there it has gone from strength to strength with guests like: Greg Vickers, Steve Parry, Leo Belchetz & Steve'Butch'Jones, plus local DJ talent. With Freeze passing its first birthday the future looks bright for this talented DJ/Promoter.
